What to wear? What to wear? Hmm... Where to start?
Firstly, it is essential that your shoes are appropriate. For males, smooth-soled shoes with a 1” (Standard) to 2” (Latin) heel are appropriate. For females, smooth-soled shoes with a low heel, and heel and ankle support are appropriate.
Rubber-soled shoes and “street resin”-soled shoes may be sticky which, aside from making dancing difficult, can cause ankle, knee, hip and/or other injuries. Leather- and resin-soled shoes are good... They may be worn outside (i.e. to and from dancing). Whereas, suede-soled shoes, which Brady wears, are great for turning, spinning and sliding, but they may not be worn outside.
