Brady STANTON started dancing Modern Jive in January 2005. Since then, he has studied Standard Ballroom, Ballroom Latin, Swing and Rock'n'Roll, but Modern Jive is his favourite due to its versatility.
Brady has competed in local AND interstate competitions, with some success. In 2006, Brady and Cassandra Hicks placed in the finals in Gaby's Dance Studio's (G.D.S.'s) Beginner Modern Jive Freestyle competition. Also in 2006, Brady placed 2nd in G.D.S.'s Intermediate Ballroom Latin Dance-With-A-Stranger competition. Later in 2006, Brady and Megan Wauer placed 2nd in the Top Gun Intermediate Modern Jive competition, AND they placed 2nd in the highly esteemed Top Gun OPEN Rock'n'Roll competition (dancing Modern Jive).
Brady opened his own Modern Partner Dancing school, with Business Partner Katie DIXON, in May 2007. MODERN PARTNER DANCING (ADELAIDE) taught Modern Jive and West Coast Swing, and hosted a few interstate and international teachers in its time. THIRD FOOT (ADELAIDE) replaces MODERN PARTNER DANCING (ADELAIDE).
In June 2008, Brady and Amy OSBORNE were "discovered" dancing at THE SEMAPHORE WORKERS CLUB and invited to participate in Rachel Ward's film Beautiful Kate, starring Ben Mendelsohn, Bryan Brown, Maeve Dermody, Rachel Griffiths and Sophie Lowe. Their scenes were filmed on WED.16JUL2008. "Watch this space" for Beautiful Kate... coming soon.
Brady has established himself as a talented dancer and teacher and, as a result, he has been invited to judge alongside the world’s best West Coast Swing exponents, Jordan Frisbee and Tatiana Mollman (USA), in Sydney in 2009.
Brady loves dancing and he's motivated to teach you to love dancing. So, come along and give it a go... It's a lot of fun.
